Superintendent Announcement

Bowling Green, 1/10/2024 –The Bowling Green Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nick Larson as their new Superintendent, effective July 1, 2024.

Nick Larson has been an invaluable leader during his tenure at Community R-VI, where he has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the education and well-being of students. His vision, passion, and commitment have left a lasting mark on the district. Before coming to Community as superintendent, Larson served as the High School Principal at Montgomery County and the Athletic Director/Assistant Principal at Centralia prior to that.

Holly Delgman, Board President at Bowling Green R-1, expressed excitement about Larson joining their team, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Nick Larson to the Bowling Green School District. His proven leadership and commitment to student success make him an ideal fit for our district. We look forward to working together to continue providing exceptional education to our students."

In response to the announcement, Larson expressed gratitude for his time at Community R-VI, saying, "I am grateful for the incredible experiences and relationships built during my tenure at Community R-VI. While I will miss this community dearly, I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead at Bowling Green R-1. I look forward to working collaboratively with the Bowling Green community to continue fostering a culture of excellence in education." “I would also like to thank my family, specifically my wife, for supporting me on this endeavor.”
